Idox group has long recognised the value of Spatial (map based) information and was the first supplier to embed enterprise level spatial functionality in its Land and Property based solutions.
All of Idox group's Uniform and Acolaid Land and Property modules, as well as the Idox Public Access suite of solutions are spatially enabled. This means that, not only are users able to visualise the location of records and groups of records, but they are also able to run traditional reports based on "how many?" or "how much?" the systems are capable of answering questions like, "where are the most serious problems arising in my area?" or "how is one problem in a particular location affected by one or more related issues?".
Additionally, the ability to visualise records spatially facilitates communication: a map of your area depicting information graphically is much easier to understand and explain than a list of records or numbers.
Idox spatially enabled solutions allow you to automatically or manually produce "buffers" around objects of interest and initiate specific resultant actions such sending a standard letter or highlighting and listing objects (such as properties, addresses, licensees etc) within the buffered zone.
Idox Land and Property solutions store Spatial data and text data within the same relational database thereby providing a single, spatially enabled, land and property database able to serve the whole organisation and founded on a BS7666 address database.
