Plantech ACOLAID Land Charges

Plantech ACOLAID Land Charges

This spatially based system enables the registration of charges and the coordination of CON 29 replies from other departments within the authority.

The high degree of integration Plantech ACOLAID for Land Charges offers with GIS and other systems allows easy access to information collected by other departments, thereby reducing turn-around times in Land Charges departments. This integrated approach eliminates duplication of data entry allowing efficiency savings to be achieved.

Dynamic spatial searching

Plantech ACOLAID incorporates spatial searching using the GIS. New searches can be created either within the system or directly from the map and a list of results returned. These can be used to answer the CON29 questions and populate the LLC1 schedule automatically. Plantech ACOLAID Land Charges projects allow the GIS to be introduced at any stage, adopting a phased approach where appropriate.

Increased efficiency

Efficiency is at the heart of Plantech ACOLAID Land Charges. Information collected automatically from other systems enables searches to be checked more quickly before they are issued. This 'assisted automation' has speeded up the search processing significantly with turnaround times potentially being measured in hours rather than days.

NLIS Level 3 compliance

Plantech ACOLAID Land Charges can link to NLIS at level 3 to receive searches submitted on-line and return the results to the searcher electronically. Users can even benefit from the NLIS level 3 software without necessarily having a completely electronic Register, as the product allows users to specify whether searches are returned fully electronically, manually or a combination of the two.

Electronic Register

For authorities not wishing to use GIS, Plantech ACOLAID for Land Charges features an electronic Register, which allows details of all types of charges to be recorded against individual properties. Further tools allow registrations to be added, modified or deleted in bulk. The system is designed to work even if a major data capture exercise has not been carried out, or has been only partly achieved.

Personal searches

Personal Search pages can be provided to allow members of the public to search the Register electronically, significantly reducing interruption to LC departments, increasing efficiencies and limiting access to agreed data sets within the context of a reception area or one-stop shop.
