Plantech ACOLAID LPG Connector

Plantech ACOLAID LPG Connector

IDOX group supports the import and export of data through an open technology XML Connector architecture which allows XML data to be exchanged with third party applications. The LPG Connector provides an e-GIF compliant XML interface for council systems to access the Plantech ACOLAID LPG.

A user can submit a simple address query from the internet or another business system, and a result set is returned. This comprises a repeating group of query results and is used to display a list of addresses on a street. If the system is a web based GIS, for example, the user can then select an address from the list and the map will centre on the selected property. Alternatively, the LPG Connector may be asked to return detailed information about a single property. This information incorporates the standard BS7666 schema, and provides additional information held within the Plantech ACOLAID LPG.

Key product features

  • No duplication of data – Data held in the Plantech ACOLAID LPG can be accessed by other council systems without duplication of effort at any stage, helping ensure the integrity of the data.
  • Flexible data retrieval – Volume of data retrieved can be controlled by requesting response to include a count of returns, a simple result set, or a detailed result set.
  • Full e-GIF compliance – Developed using XML technology the LPG Connector can therefore be supported by the main suppliers of council business applications.
  • Scheduled Gazetteer changes – Where the business system requires all updates, the LPG Connector may be used on a scheduled basis to supply all the gazetteer changes.
