Electoral Registration System

The Strand Electoral Registration System, soundly built on evolution over the past 14 years, now encompasses revolution as it takes on the challenges offered by electronic connectivity.

Already successfully tested at recent UK trials, Strand software now interfaces to Touch Screen Voting machines, and the future promises further innovation as on-line polling station registers are employed to enable 'vote anywhere' elections!

Also under development is the electronic transportation of results to count centres - further reducing the 'time to result' factor.

The acclaimed Strand 'scrolling screens' offer a continuous view of the registers, both draft and current. Powerful search features quickly locate individual electors by name, and properties by house name, street name and number, or post code.

Re-organisations become a breeze with the Boundary Maintenance feature, which will move blocks of properties (including post code groups) to another location. The included Aform scanning module automates the canvass process and adds a facsimile of the aform to the property record for easy viewing from the register.

Shows No Change, Deletions, Insertions, U18, Over 70, Absent Voters, EU, Service and Overseas, etc.

Personalised forms a output

Complete with bar code printing for speed of processing.

Full feature absent voters module

Covers all aspects of Postal, Proxy and Postal Proxy Voters and includes all necessary re- ports and envelope printing.

Boundary maintenance module

Fully automated module includes single key movement of Properties for boundary changes and Register maintenance.

Full access to "Current" & "Draft" registers

Includes both scrolling view and individual search features.

Urban & rural registers

Including mixed Polling Districts if required

Interface to election management system

Allows automatic collection of Candidate's assentors and carries out statutory check of Nomination Papers for each electoral area.

On screen formatting allows different printing requirements such as orientation, size and number of columns.

Canvass areas and canvassers' details

Name and address database for loading of canvassers, including Street Attachment facility. For convenient distribution and analysis of Forms A and Poll Cards.

Document imaging

Scanning and storing of A forms. Batch storage, and feature packed quality control pro- gram allowing on-screen changes or marking of 'changed' or 'not changed' in batches.
